Minecraft – Space Station and Human Eye Open for Free Exploration

From Gamepressure:

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, students are forced to learn in the privacy of their own four walls. The closure of schools has forced the replacement of standard school lessons with their online counterparts, so Microsoft has decided to make selected materials from the educational version of Minecraft available for free. This is to help teachers and parents to provide creative learning for their students and children. Lessons will be available for download until June 30 at this address.

Thanks to the action, we can visit for free, among others, a replica of the ISS space station, the capital of the USA, or the inside of the human eye. There are also some distinguished works of the community, allowing us to, example, learn Greek history or become a marine biologist. As Microsoft’s executive vice president, Gaming, Phil Spencer, said, this action is designed to make students, who now spend more time at the computer than usual, learn something new through gaming.

Teachers, as well as the students themselves, are racing to come up with more and more creative ways to add variety to home teaching. We’ve already seen a group of children who have made their own graduation ceremony in Minecraft, or a teacher teaching math in Half-Life: Alyx.
