Payton Reed to Return for Ant-Man 3

According to THR, Payton Reed will once again be planning the next heist for Ant-Man and company with Marvel’s third outing of the bite-sized hero.

Ant-Man actor, Paul Rudd, is expected make a return for the next film. However, with no plot details revealed, fans will have to stay tuned to find who else will be returning for Ant-Man 3.

Sources say that the sequels Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder will shoot before Ant-Man 3.

Reed was brought into the Marvel universe when, late in Ant-Man’s development process, he replaced Edgar Wright as helmer. The movie grossed $519.3 million. The follow-up, in which Reed was more involved, earned $622.6 million.

The Eternals will arrive in November, 2020, while in 2021 we’ll get Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, Spider-Man 3, and Thor: Love And Thunder. 2022 is already taking shape, too, as Black Panther II has already been confirmed for May, while Ant-Man 3 looks set to follow in the same period, too.

No doubt we can expect Captain Marvel 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3, and Blade’s release dates to be revealed in the near future, too, and that’s before we even get to the addition of Fantastic Four and X-Men to the MCU.

For now, eager Ant fans can keep an eye out for Ant-Man 3’s likely release in 2022.
