After Paramount premiered the first trailer for the Sonic movie, fans took to the internet to whack the titular character’s look for the project and demand the studio redesign him. Soon after director Jeff Fowler announced the film would be delayed so the studios could redesign Sonic cancelling the original release date of November 8, 2019, and pushing it back to February 14, 2020, so that animators have enough time to provide for a proper redesign of the titular character.
