If you had fun playing Marvel’s Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 the first time around, well, here’s your chance to play it again!
Just a year ago, Sony along with Insomniac Games released Marvel’s Spider-Man an open-world superhero PS4 exclusive game which garnered high-praise for not only its Spidey-accurate gameplay but also having a rich and emotional story that includes both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Insomniac Games and Sony have announced the release of “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition,” which comes packing plenty of content. It comes with the full game, as well as a voucher for all installments of “Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC.”
If you are living in the United States you can get all this for just $39.99, which is a little over half of what the game had sold for when it originally hit the shelves. Adding to this, you can also get the DLC at $24.99, if you have the original and don’t want to buy the entire package again.
Sony also announced last week that they have purchased Insomniac Games as a first-party studio. This means that Insomniac will be added to the list which already includes Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Guerilla Games, and more as developers of world-class PlayStation exclusives. Sony has also been busy displaying the technology for the next PlayStation by using Spider-Man as a base model. Given this exclusivity and use of Spider-Man, one can only conclude a sequel to be launched with the next console.
