Final Fantasy 7 Remake is set to release in March’20.

Final Fantasy 7 is about as iconic as gaming gets, establishing itself as a juggernaut back in 1997 by single-handly introducing the JRPG genre to millions upon millions of players. Its world, characters and narrative hallmarks have stood the test of time, so much so that fans have been banging the remake drum for years.

Now, that is finally becoming a reality. Square Enix has confirmed that the multi-disc epic will be re imagined through several episodes – starting with the first which will take place entirely in Mid-gar. We’ve played it, and by some miracle they’re onto a winner. Whether you’re a hardcore fan or a newcomer, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is set to be one of the finest games of 2020.

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will launch exclusively for PS4 on March 3, 2020 in both physical and digital form. Given it will be an episodic venture, Square Enix has said that future entries might come to PS5, or even act as a cross-generational release across both platforms.

The publisher has already doubled down on confirming that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only coming to PS4: “As previously announced, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 3rd 2020. We have no plans for other platforms.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake felt like a distant pipe dream, but now it is  just few months away. We are excited. stay tuned for more updates!
