Warner Bros.’ long in-development Flash movie finally has a new director attached to it, and it’s Argentinian born Andy Muschietti. The It director went on record telling Fandango simply “Yup!” when asked if it would be his next film, following It: Chapter Two.
The movie director known for his horror movies made it clear that his previous works such as It would not form the tone of Flash.
“An element of horror? I don’t think so,” Muschietti told Fandango. “What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
Muschietti is the latest name attached to the directorial role for the Flash movie following a number of other directors who dropped the position for a number of reasons.
No details for the film has been released but fans are guessing that Ezra Miller will once again don the crimson costume and follow some plot after the events that unfolded in Justice League.
Warner Bros. has not announced a release date for the film.
