Vampirella turns 50 this (she still looks good for her age!) To celebrate Dynamite will be bringing back Vengeance of Vampirella which was originally launched back in 1994. Vengeance of Vampirella portrayed a more savage version of the title character.
Dynamite will be assembling writer Tom Sniegoski and talented artist Michael Sta. Maria as the backbone of this title’s creative team – one must also note that Tom was also the original writer for the previous 90’s series as well as its spinoffs and followups. To further excite Vampirella fans, Dynamite will be releasing issue 1 with a number of variant covers drawn by a list of well talented cover artists. These include Joshua Middleton, Frank Cho, Ben Oliver, Lucio Parrillo and a not to be missed cosplay cover as Cover D!
The story is set 25 years later, as humanity is on the brink of destruction. The Earth has become a deadly place for it, as a great number of monsters have now taken control and called it home. Mistress Nyx rules the world along side her Chaos Lords as they enslave humans without a challenge in sight. Vampirella returns but 25 years and huge losses have changed her into a tougher and harder version of her previous self.
