Amazon has taken the oppurtunity at San Diego’s Comic-Con to unveil new images from its Carnival Row series that will debut next month on Prime Video!
After the serial adaptation of Good Omens and with The Dark Tower series currently underway, Amazon Prime Video will launch at the end of August Carnival Row, a brand new fantasy series starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. Two new trailers dedicated to the two heroes of the show have also been released!
A long-standing project that was originally set to take place in the cinema with Guillermo del Toro behind the camera, the action of Carnival Row takes place in a world mixing Victorian times and immigrant mythological creatures from their native lands who try to live together as they can with humans who keep persecuting them. The series will follow detective Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom) and a fairy named Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne), two people who oppose everything but whose relationship and a mysterious series of murders may jeopardize the unstable peace between the two communities.
In addition to Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, the cast of Carnival Row will consist of David Gyasi (Cloud Atlas, Interstellar), Tamzin Merchant (Salem), Andrew Gower (Outlander), Karla Crome (Misfits), Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand in Game of Thrones), Jared Harris (Mad Men, The Crown) as well as Simon McBurney (The Borgias).
The first season of Carnival Crown will debut on August 30 on Amazon Prime.
