The next James Bond movie will be for the first time an opportunity to discover if a woman can step into the legacy of 007!
Since we know that James Bond 25 will be Daniel Craig’s last film starring as 007, everyone has been wondering who will take over from the British actor in the role of the famous secret agent: Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Richard Madden? While waiting to discover it, the famous number of this spy who has acted in the service of his Majesty, will be transferred for the first time to a woman in the next film of this franchise!
Actress Lashana Lynch (Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel) will temporarily play 007 in James Bond 25. At the beginning of the film, we come to find the secret agent that we have always known has retired and settled in Jamaica, leaving the famous number behind to another MI6 agent played by Lashana Lynch. In doing so the studios have played a bold move given that Lashana will be the first woman (African-American to boot) 007 in the history of the franchise. Apparantly though, it will be short-lived as James Bond will quickly resume service to foil a new global crisis … Will Lashana Lynch secure the new 007 designation in the next film of this ongoing saga? The future can only tell us!
Directed by Cary Fukunaga ( True Detective ), James Bond 25 will provide the opportunity to reunite Daniel Craig as 007, with several actors who have previously appeared in earlier film installments of this franchise including: Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ralph Fiennes (M), Ben Wishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner) and Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter). Among the new faces, also appearing in 25th James Bond will be such acttors as Rami Malek ( Bohemian Rhapsody) who will play this film’s master villain, Lashana Lynch (Maria Rambeau who starred in Marvel’s Captain Marvel), French actor Dali Benssalah, David Densick ( Royal Affair ), Billy Magnussen ( Game Night ), and also Ana De Armas ( Blade Runner 2049 ).
James Bond 25 will be released on April 8, 2020 in cinemas worldwide.
